Saturday night is bath night here at the Jacob house.  After the bath is over, the girls get a little help with their hair before bedtime:

Just a few months ago, so it seems, Nathanael started growing his 2nd set of teeth. Since about August, he has had two adult teeth growing in behind his bottom baby teeth. A few weeks ago, those baby teeth started loosening up and Nathanael would wiggle them a little. He wanted them to come out and he was going to pull them out. He wanted Mommy & Daddy to pull them out. They were not quite ready to come out and we told him that they would come out, when they were ready to come out.

Thursday night was that time for “Tooth #1″. Nathanael decided it was time for them to come out and he pulled out “Tooth #1″. Ironically, this tooth was not the loosest of the two teeth. We are not going to be doing the whole “Tooth Fairy” thing with our kids, but since Nathanael just wanted to throw the tooth away I gave him a quarter.

Neal Jacob Photography is looking for the cutest baby (well, I mean the cutest other than my own!). So, tell your friends, tell your family, tell your enemies (okay, maybe not your enemies), the Cutest Baby Contest is here!

How to enter:

• E-Mail a recent photo that you or someone else took (not a professional photo) of your baby to: cutestbaby@nealjacob.info. This is a special e-mail address and will only be active for the duration of the contest.
• Your baby must be between birth and 2 years old.
• You may only submit one photo per child per entry (Yes, if you have more than one child, you may enter them).

Please include:

• Child’s name
• Child’s date of birth
• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your E-Mail address
• A statement saying “Yes, I give Neal Jacob Photography permission to use Name of Child’s photo on the blog.”

Entries will be accepted beginning 7:00 AM (EST) on Friday, January 25, 2008 through 11:59 PM (EST) Thursday, February 14, 2008.

The entries will then be pared down to the top 10 entries. Entries will be judged by members of the professional photography community. My wife will serve as final authority (after all…. oh never mind, I could get into a lot of trouble with that comment!) . Then beginning on Monday, February 18 at 7:00 AM (EST) the voting will begin! When voting begins, tell everyone you know to go to NealJacob.info (this blog) and vote for your baby. Voting will continue through 8:00 PM (EST) Thursday, February 28, 2008 and the winner will be announced on Friday, February 29, 2008. Vote early, vote often.

Here’s what you win:

• 3rd Place: A Portrait Session from Neal Jacob Photography (that’s us!) to be used in 2008. Value: $175.
