I made the news

Must have been a slow news day!
In April, I visited the Gobuluks, Jackie, Ercin, Chloe & Gretchen. Jackie, owner of Metropolitan Nannies and her husband, Ercin are expecting their first child in September.
This morning, I received a note from Jackie. I just wanted to share what she wrote:
We recently invited Neal to our home for a maternity and family photography session. Neal was such a pleasure to work with. He took the time to find out exactly what we wanted and made helpful suggestions along the way. We were very pleased with the quality of his work and the prints and we would like to recommend his services to your family.
Thank you Jackie for the kind words! Your check is in the mail!

When I see members of our Armed Services or Public Safety Services, I want to thank them, but how? Doesn’t it feel awkward just going up to someone randomly on the street and saying “Thank you for protecting me.” or “Thank you for serving our country.”? I’m sure it is not only uncomfortable for me, but probably uncomfortable to the other person too.
Just the other day I was discussing this topic with a friend and she later forwarded me a link to The Gratitude Campaign. Now I just have to get over my fear of someone thinking I was off my medication if they see me doing this in public.
THANK YOU to all members of the U.S. Armed Services and Public Safety and First Response. Thank you for putting your life on the line to keep me and my family safe.
I just made this post on Saturday evening and already I was reminded to “Dance with Cinderella”.
I was doing some work around the house today and Ariel, my youngest, came into the bedroom and invited me to come to a tea party. I of course wanted to get done what I was working on, so I gave her a hug and a kiss and told her in a few minutes. I quickly finished up what I was doing, found a stopping point and went and found Ariel and asked her if the tea was ready. The tea party took less than five minutes before she was ready to move on to another activity. I only had to take five minutes out of my schedule to make my daughter happy. Now please excuse me, so I can go find my dancing partner.
If you haven’t heard by now, on Wednesday, the youngest daughter of Christian recording artist, Steven Curtis Chapman, was killed in an accident at their home. Below is a video to a song written by Steven Curtis Chapman called Cinderella. Listen to the song and then the story about how he wrote the song (which is at the end of the video). I have two daughters of my own. Watch the video and then go dance with Cinderella.
