Last Thursday, I woke up at 4 AM. At 4:30 AM I heard non-stop sirens. About 5:30 AM and 6 AM I heard a helicopter overhead. I knew something very bad had happened. Then I heard the news. A local family lost their home to a fire. Not only did they lose their home, but three members of the Cook Family did not make it. Two daughters died in the fire. Their father died at the hospital. This is in my community. I was thinking, what can I do for this family? I have been planning Portraits in the Park for a few weeks. I am going to give 100% of all session fees collected during Portraits in the Park to the Cook Family. I enjoyed meeting everyone at the Babies R Us Super Baby Shower and I had so much fun  that I decided to make everyone a winner!  Everyone that registered won a free portrait session!  Your certificates will be arriving in the mail and again, congratulations to everyone that entered.

Last Thursday, Casting Crowns, Leeland, and John Waller were at the Patriot Center at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Angela Stevens and my friends at WGTS 91.9 FM in Takoma Park invited me to tag along with them to the show. Kathy and I had an AWESOME time! This was the first time we attended a Casting Crowns concert and it was different than any other concert we have attended. If you have never attended a Crowns concert, I highly recommend that you attend one.
