Remember Ascot the Penguin? Colin & Molly are the “Penguin Couple”. 
The Ceremony and Reception were held at The Mansion House which is located at The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, Maryland. Who would have thought you would have to worry about extreme heat in October? The wedding was on what had to have been the hottest October day ever. It was over 90 degrees on October 7.

Gerald and Paula were married at Hylton Memorial Chapel in Woodbridge, VA. Hylton hosts many concerts and I have been there for quite a few, but this was my first time there for a wedding. The reception was at Fort Belvoir, which is a very large base! It took me a half an hour for me to find my way out.

When guys get dressed up in their tuxedos it is often said that we are wearing our “Penguin Suits“. I guess that is because it looks like penguins are wearing tuxedos. If that’s the case, then this guest at yesterday’s wedding didn’t have to worry about her attire.
This is Ascot from The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. Ascot is an African Penguin and can run very fast! You might be able to spot Ascot and her family on The Penguin Cam. Thank you to Ascot and her handler, Angie, for teaching me some new things about penguins.
Ascot was a guest at the Wedding of Colin and Molly Murchie. Check back later in the week for photos from Colin and Molly’s wedding.

David and Kayla were married May 26, 2007, Memorial Day Weekend! The ceremony was held in Falls Church at the Falls Church Presbyterian Church and the reception was held at the Fairview Park Marriott.
Memorial Day Weekend is the weekend that Rolling Thunder is held every year. I always like watching all the motorcycles go by. Well, I think all of the Rolling Thunder participants were staying at the Marriott, because the parking lot was full of bikes. Silly me, I did not get any shots of the bikes and I had my camera with me! Duh!
Well, I did remember to take some pictures of the wedding! Here are a few I would like to share:

I am a member of many professional photography organizations and discussion groups. One thing that seems to be a hot topic of discussion is trashing the dress.
I have been wanting to do a Trash the Dress session, but I haven’t been able to find a bride willing to go through with it. What do you do with the dress after you have worn it? My wife and I will be married nine years this June. Her dress is in a sealed box, which is in a basement closet. We haven’t seen her dress since our wedding night. When our daughters get married - 20, 30 (do I hear 40!) years from now, styles will have changed a lot since June 14, 1998. No offense to my wife, but I am sure that they will be looking for a dress of their own to get married in. But, being a guy, how do I say to a bride “So, would you like to trash the dress?” I’d probably get slapped, kicked, and other unprintable things. My health would be in serious jeopardy. Well, what better than a former bride to lend just the right words. A friend of mine recently posted this to her blog:
